This list is for my family. If you're not a family member, I don't know how you got here.
Super large antistatic bags. These are for my arcade boards.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. This is a $59.99 PC game; you'll have to send it as a Steam gift. My brother should know how to do that.
It's very expensive, but I'm on the lookout for a few arcade games:
- Raiden Fighters or Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive (Not Raiden Fighters Jet; I already own that one). The first Raiden Fighters is my most sought-after game right now and it's not even close. It's relatively common, but all arcade games are kind of hard to find at this point.
- A Neo Geo MVS motherboard. This is actually little complicated, because the motherboards themselves aren't games; you also need a cartridge. There's a 161 in 1 multicart that you can get for about a hundred dollars; most of the games I would want are anywhere from $40 to like $500, so it's a pretty good deal. Some motherboards don't support the 161 in 1 multicart, though, so you might need to do a little research.
- Cadash
- Final Fight
- In general, I have a lot of interest in shoot-em-ups, or "shmups." If you find one for sale, there's a chance I might be into it. I'm not expecting you to look up the genres of every random listing you find, but if you're on Facebook Marketplace and find someone advertising a "shmup," "shooter" or "shoot-em-up" for what looks like a good price, you can just ask me. I understand that that spoils the surprise, though.
A new power supply and two of these 10 terabyte hard drives so I can upgrade my local data storage and security. This is pretty expensive, and to be honest it's not really going to be especially fun or exciting, but I do need it if you're feeling generous.
These cheap plastic feet for my arcade boards. I need two sets of these even if you don't buy me any new boards for Christmas (which, to be clear, I know you're not going to unless some kind of crazy and convenient deal just happens to line up).
A small side desk I can put my drawing tablet on. I measured the space I have for it and even 32 inches wide is pushing it, so think of that as the max size.
A decent mid-size trash can for my bedroom, maybe with a step lid. I got a small trash can when I moved in because I don't have tons of space in here and I thought a large trash can would be unsightly, but frankly, I spend so much time in here and order in during streams often enough that it's a huge pain in the ass having a tiny trash can that's easy to knock over.
A small TV at least 24 inches and no bigger than 32, plus a Chromecast with Google TV. I've noticed some of the really small TVs are still 720p only, which isn't great; if you can find one that does 1080p, that would be better. Having said that, I'm planning on listening to this thing, not really watching it all that much.
A year's subscription to Wanikani. This is about a hundred dollars, and I think a lifetime subscription is $200 or $300, so the lifetime subscription might seem like a better call at first, but my Japanese might be slightly too advanced for this thing, so I don't know that committing to more than a year of service really makes sense yet.
I don't really like that place Mom likes at all, but if there's a fancy local candy place, that's always a safe bet. If possible, my favorite candy is nonpareils, but I also like chocolate-covered potato chips, chocolate-dipped cookies and truffles. I do hate fudge, though.
